Description
Bugloss is a biennial or perennial plant that reaches a height of up to eighty centimeters. The stems of this plant are relatively thick and have a circular cross-section. The surface of the stems is covered with white hairs that are long and rough and have dark spots. The leaves are elongated, almost drop-shaped and relatively thick and grow alternately without petioles. Both sides of these leaves are covered with white, rough hairs and irregular white spots.
The leaves of Echium amoenum almost resemble the tongue of a cow. In the places where the flowers grow, some leaves grow that are much smaller than the lower leaves of the plant. These leaves are slightly elongated, relatively narrow and pointed. The best leaves of fresh Bugloss are thick, pale green and have a surface covered with white dots. The flowers of Echium Amoenum are red, elongated, trumpet-shaped, relatively large and integrated, and the ends of the stems grow in clusters and lines. These flowers turn purple when dried. The seeds of Persian borage are small, slightly elongated, gray and slightly shiny.
